Our Mission

Connecting our anglers with the invigorating beauty of a riparian adventure.

From start to finish, our approach is different.

Our focus on a quality fishing experience extends far beyond the number or size of fish caught in a day. We strive to impart our passion for the valley we love and protect the health of the places we all enjoy while creating sustainable recreation.

We strive to accommodate you with the best fly fishing outing we can, individually tailored to your goals for the experience. Proudline is here to break you out of a day-to-day routine by producing the excitement of something different.

Enjoy a top shelf experience every time.

Our History

We’ve been treating residents and visitors of the Roaring Fork Valley to top-shelf fly fishing tours for nearly ten years. Founded in 2012 by Kea Hause, Proudline carries on the founder’s legacy of teaching the importance of preserving our rivers and helping others find fulfillment in their own lives and fly fishing experiences.

Kea started his own fly fishing business in 2012 and surrounded himself with a small crew of guides who he taught the value of bringing the ethics of continued care for our rivers and streams back into guiding. He regarded himself as having been fortunate to guide and to have been guided by the old and new masters of the fly-fishing industry.  He had strong beliefs about paying it forward and happily donated time and trips to worthy causes, encouraging his peers to do the same.  Our ongoing support of organizations like Casting for Recovery and Disabled American Veterans are an extension of these same beliefs.

We invite you to learn more about our tours and guides. Contact us if you have questions or would like to book a tour!

Planning Details

If you’re a first time Colorado visitor or new to the sport of Fly Fishing:

  • To supply you with properly fitting boots and waders you will be asked for your height, weight, pant and shoe size.
  • To provide you with an appropriate flyrod and reel you will be asked if you’re right or left handed.
  • You will also need to purchase a Colorado fishing license for your one- or multiple-day stay. This can be done online prior to your arrival at the Colorado Fishing License website. Make sure to also print the document.
  • Questions on fishing licenses and Colorado wildlife areas? Take a look at the State Wildlife Areas FAQs.
  • For lodging or other attractions and local activities please visit the Carbondale Tourism website here.

Addressing these four items in advance will get you set up for a fabulous fishing experience! Proudline personnel will then contact you to discuss other preparations that will make this a pleasant and memorable trip.

Colorado anglers being lured by bogus fishing license websites: Colorado Parks and Wildlife is sending out a warning

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is sending out a warning about bogus websites selling fake fishing licenses which are luring in unsuspecting anglers and costing them big bucks.
